Body Butter Storage and Expiration:

Handcrafted body butters generally have a shelf life of 1 to 2 years depending on the oils and butters used and how the butter is cared for and stored. We recommend using the body butter within 1 year of opening. To maximize the life of the body butter, keep butter stored in a cool dry dark area. Use a scoop rather than fingers to avoid introducing bacteria into the butter. Do not keep product near heat sources as this product melts at 90F. If it is this temperature at home please store it in the refrigerator. It will harden at colder temperatures so let it get back to room temperature for the right consistency.
