About us

Since my childhood I have always had an interest and respect for nature. My dad loved being out in nature and he knew a lot about the properties and uses of plants, which inspired an interest in me at a young age. I also remember my mom loving different plants and while she would work I would water and care for her plants. I talked my mom into making a small garden in our small backyard as a child and from there I've grown in my love and appreciation of the things God gave to us in nature.

During my college years I went to school to be a Doctor. 2 years into my studies my mom learned a lot about eating natural and she changed her diet to a holistic real foods diet. I saw her health improve dramatically, her energy levels improve, and many different ailments healed. It all was a huge eye opener and I started to learn more about true health first hand. I stopped going to school and instead began my journey in life towards a different path God was calling me towards. I started to also change the things I ate and started eating whole natural foods from nature the way that God intended and steering clear from man made processed foods. I also applied this knowledge to my body care products and switched to more clean and natural body care products. It was a challenge to find body care products that fit my wholesome, organic and natural criteria so I stuck with mostly just natural soap and did not use much of any other skin care products because of the lack of them available.

Once I got married and became a mom, I carried this mindset into my family's lives and only wanted to use the best natural, organic, and clean ingredients and products possible. I started to get plain organic, unrefined shea butter to use as moisturizers for all of our skin but as soon as I started needing moisturizers for our children’s beautiful curly african hair I started whipping up a luscious shea butter and oil cream mixture to nourish their hair which worked beautifully on their hair and was a great moisturizer for our skin. 

Once we bought our 3 acre farmhouse our vision of being more self reliant and self sustainable became a reality. I started to learn more about foraging and growing our own food and medicinal herbs. It became such a passion for me that I wanted to be able to share these holistic products and ideas with others. I started to research and make herbal salves. I started researching different ways I could use these herbal preparations and that is when I came across using herbs and natural ingredients in soap making and different body care applications. I gave it a try and absolutely loved it. I loved that there were so many things I could do to use the herbs and botanicals from nature along with nourishing oils, butters, and essential oils derived from organic and natural sources. 

During these years of building our homestead and family and learning about natural and organic ingredients from nature, I also prayed for a way to earn a living while being able to still be home with my children, to educate them, tend to the home, and still be able to nourish the passions in me. That is when the idea to start a natural and organic body care business was given to me. And when a prayer is answered by God, He will lead you and provide the way. I am so excited and filled within myself to see where this journey will lead myself, my family, and others. This is just the beginning!
